Ann-Sophie is a published illustrator & surface pattern designer based in Belgium.

From an early age she loved doing all kinds of creative activities. Later she studied “Digital Arts & Entertainment” at Howest in Kortrijk (Belgium), where she discovered creativity in various digital media.

Since the beginning of 2020 Ann-Sophie has been working as a freelancer creating illustrations and designs. Her illustrations have been published in several books and magazines for both Belgian and international publishers.

The wonderful world of nature has always been her biggest source of inspiration and she loves to create colorful environments and characters for imaginative stories.

Recently, she delved into the exciting realm of surface design. She loves to to see the illustrations come to life on products that people can enjoy.

We worked with Ann-Sophie for one of our new teaching methods. In this assignment she worked out the illustrations for three workbooks. Nothing but praise for this collaboration: clear communication, always met deadlines, flexible and swift implementation of changes, easy to get along with, very appropriate drawing style for our target group … I’m already looking forward to the next collaboration!

Ann-Sophie and I connected through social media. Her work fit perfectly with what I envisioned for the new Hamley children’s book series. After an initial contact, we quickly established a quick, efficient and, most importantly, positive collaboration. She understood perfectly what I was looking for, everything I asked was right, nothing was too crazy. Ann-Sophie is professional and knows exactly what to do, and she is also a pleasant person to communicate with. Highly recommended her as an illustrator!
